Collards

VEGETABLE

A member of the cabbage family (Brassica oleracea), these leafy greens are a great dish in their own right. Similar to other cruciferous veg, these greens pack a healthy punch.

High in vitamins and antioxidants, these mighty leaves along other Brassica may also offer protection against DNA damage and cancer spread, which is believed to be in part down to the compound sulforaphane.
