Portabella Mushrooms

FUNGUS

Portabella mushrooms are the mature state of white mushrooms, much larger, but mostly the same. They're often used instead of white mushrooms when their size can be taken advantage of, like being stuffed or grilled.

They have a different profile of nutrients compared to their immature state, including higher quantities of selenium and copper. Mushrooms in general have been associated with positive health benefits including resilience against cancer proliferation and improved immune system function.
