Romaine Lettuce

VEGETABLE

This lettuce has a distinct, tall head containing tightly packed ribbed leaves. They're mostly used as part of salads, but can also act as a serving boat with food piled within them.

Leafy greens are a great source of vitamins, romaine lettuce included, with high vitamin K and A contents. These vitamins have been show to aid in preventing various pathologies as well as protecting against them.
