Onions

VEGETABLE

Used throughout the world, onions are a pungent member of the allium family. They are the basis for many a dish, used to add a strong aromatic depth of flavour.

Not overly high in macro and micro nutrients, most of the health benefits of onions come from their phytonutrients, including high numbers of flavonoids. Flavonoid intake has been associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
