Wakame Seaweed

VEGETABLE

This edible seaweed has been harvested in Japan for centuries, known for its strong, salty flavour. It finds a place in both soups and salads, providing a distinct flavour.

Wakame has a great number of minerals, especially manganese, sodium and copper. It's also one of the few sources of iodine, an essential mineral for thyroid function. An interesting study also associated seaweed intake with reduction in blood pressure in children.
